How to Obtain CEPICI (Center for the Promotion of Investment in CĂ´te d'Ivoire) One-Stop Shop for Business Formalities at the time of incorporation; up-to-date RCCM extract from the Abidjan Commercial Court Registry or online
Timeframes Initial registration: 24 to 72 hours (the One-Stop Shop’s “company in 24 hours” procedure). Up-to-date RCCM extract: 24 to 48 hours
Cost Registration: approximately 40,000 to 65,000 FCFA depending on the legal form and capital (court fees and administrative costs). Standard RCCM extract: approximately 5,000 to 10,000 FCFA (estimated amounts; to be confirmed with CEPICI/the Registry)

Presentation of Shareholding Structure

Any document showing a company’s shareholder structure / The breakdown of ownership percentages held by ultimate individual shareholders (at least 25%)

Method of Acquisition DFE: issued by the General Tax Directorate (DGI) upon tax registration, via the CEPICI One-Stop Shop. Articles of Incorporation: drawn up at the time of incorporation (by a notary or as a private document), kept on file with the RCCM Registry and by the company. Shareholder register and share purchase certificate: internal documents maintained by the company itself (or its registrar). FIBE: to be filed by the company with the Commercial Court Registry (register of beneficial owners)
Timeframes DFE: issued at the same time as registration (24 to 72 hours). Articles of Incorporation and Shareholder Register: immediately available (already held by the company). FIBE: filing processed within a few business days by the Registry
Cost DFE: Free (included in the registration fees). Articles of Incorporation: variable drafting/notary fees, often 50,000 to 150,000 FCFA. FIBE: Fees not determined

Proof of address

This is the document that confirms the exact and current location of the company (and/or the manager(s))

Method of Acquisition Certificate of Residence: Issued by the City Hall (or Subprefecture) of the manager’s place of residence. Lease agreement: drawn up with the landlord or real estate agency, then registered with the DGI. SODECI (water) / CIE (electricity) bill: obtained through the customer portal or the subscriber’s local SODECI/CIE office
Timeframes Certificate of residence: 24 to 48 hours at City Hall. SODECI/CIE bill: immediate (document already in the subscriber’s possession; billed monthly)
Cost Certificate of residence: 2,000 FCFA (stamp duty). SODECI/CIE bill: no additional cost (estimated amounts, to be confirmed)
